About Us
The Midlands Bonsai Society was founded in 1975 by a handful of people who more or less by accident discovered their mutual interest in the ancient art of growing trees in the bonsai style. The Society meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm in the Moseley Cricket Club, Streetsbrook Road, Shirley.
The varied annual programme includes talks and demonstrations by professional growers and our own members. We have a library of books, videos and cds on Bonsai and there is a raffle each month. The annual subscription is £18.00 single, £27.00 couple and visitors are most welcome upon payment of a £2.00 visitor's fee.
